The Minimal Facts Approach

I've written articles on the evidence for Jesus' resurrection in the past using the famous Minimal Facts Approach. This approach to defending the hisoricity of Jesus' resurrection only uses the criteria of authenticity and facts that majority of scholars will grant. The most famous proponents of this argument are New Testament scholars Gary Habermas and Michael Licona.

The Maximal Data Approach

Unlike the argument on the left, this argument is a much more powerful and broad defense of the resurrection of Jesus, using the gospels. A Maximal Data Approach defends either general or the high historical reliability of the gospels. It then makes a case for the historicity of Jesus' resurrection from an examination of the gospel testimonies. Since 2023, this has been my main argument for the resurrection.

The Evidence For Jesus' Resurrection (Series)

This is an entire series of in depth essays meant to be read in release order on The Minimal Facts Argument for The Resurrection of Jesus. This 10 part series is meant for those who want in depth research into the historical evidence for Jesus' resurrection.

This series, unlike the one to the left, defends the historical truth claims of Christianity via a Maximal Data Approach. I spend several articles establishing that the gospels are historically reliable, and then I argue for Jesus’ deity, death, and resurrection on that supposition.
